Whiteness is an invention. It is not a heritage, an ethnicity, or a nationality. It has always only ever been used for purposes of violent settler colonialism, assimilation, and racism. If you want something to be proud of, learn about where your family was from in Europe, find the names of the towns/cities they left before coming to America, learn the language(s) they spoke, or study history. but to be proud of **being white*** literally means that you are proud to support xenophobia and genocide. It means you subscribe to a delusional non-reality that “white people” are in danger of “infection” and destruction by “non-white others.” It means you are a piece of shit.
